Meet Your Organizer
Love your Nest
Karen Ivania Perez
I am Karen Ivania, creator and founder of Love Your Nest. I love keeping things clean and organized and have become obsessed with minimal living. It has become my passion to help others accomplish the same.
I am a firm believer that your home is a representation of who you are. Your home should be treated with the utmost respect as it reflects your values. Staying organized is neglected as most can’t make time to keep their home organized. My mother was a “stay-at-home mom,” so my childhood revolved around keeping the home tidy and clean. Good habits were instilled in me at a young age. Just as family generations passed down cooking recipes, my mother consciously showed us skills and tips that she was taught in childhood. I’ve always loved staying organized and staying tidy. Simple skills and techniques I teach can be easily adapted with the willingness to practice. You feel happy, motivated, and healthy when your environment is organized.
In early 2022, the idea of Love Your Nest sprung. I wanted to be of service and truly help people I began by helping friends and families move into new homes and re-organizing my home a million times. It was something I enjoyed doing on my own time already. With my extensive background in the corporate fashion tech world and working for several successful companies like Gap, Netflix, Levi’s, and Byer California, I decided to apply my business and creative knowledge toward helping others stay tidy.
Sometime in the summer of 2022, I was asked by a friend who worked as a mover (furniture mover) if I could help him with a job he had in Alameda, California. He and his work partner were helping an elderly woman move to her new apartment. She was under the impression that the moving services included unpacking and organizing, but it didn’t. He felt touched by the elderly woman, and he knew I was good at organizing and keeping tidy. I wasn’t working then and had free time on my hands, so he called me and asked if I wanted to help with the move. We both wanted to help as much as possible So, I showed up and assisted in unpacking and organizing her closet. She was so happy after I was done. Her reaction to her organized closet gave me a sense of relief and joy for her.
After, that I helped a couple other families unpack and get organized. And every time I was done with my help, the reactions to the newly set up spaces made me fall in love with organizing. Since then, I have worked on several life-changing projects, and there is no better feeling than seeing someone's relief after they see a space that used to cause them stress be wholly transformed.
I have fallen in love with changing people’s lives through their rooms. A de-cluttered, organized home helps with your mental health on many levels. I want to share that knowledge with all my clients! Check out my blog for helpful tips.
After years of habitual training, it’s now second nature for me to keep tidy and never leave the house before making my bed. I want to continue to expand my knowledge and learn about the subject and how it relates to mental health. The systems we’ll help you create apply to all spaces in your home or office. Organizing is a skill you can learn and a lifestyle worth adapting to live your best life surrounded by the things you love.
As your personal organizing specialist, I want to gain your trust and respect your space and belongings. My process is a judgment-free zone and all about you and your needs. I want to offer you the time to enjoy your home stress-free and spend more time with family & your spouse. Allow me to re-introduce your home so that you may Love your Nest!
